Assets
TACTIC comes with a Digital Asset Manager built in. It is a full feature asset management system that can be used to store and organize assets scalable for even for the largest digital productions.
TACTIC has the ability to handle all types of digital assets and manage in an asset repository. In TACTIC you have the ability to ingest digital assets into the TACTIC repository and define a Workflow for further organization. TACTIC can manage any kind of digital asset required and maintain these assets within a centralized company repository.
Optionally, you can use a quick and easy worklfow to manage approval of assets stored in the repository.
What are Assets?
Assets are containers that hold all the versions of a particular file.
TACTIC Project Asset Organization Types
In TACTIC Project, assets are organized in 2 ways:
-
Job Asset Library - Each job has it's own asset library containing work in progress (WIP) files.
-
Centralized Asset Library - Finalized Assets from a job are pushed to this Centralized Library when complete. A central asset library can be shared and reused across projects.
:bulb: The separation of WIP assets from the Central Asset Library ensures your main asset repo is not polluted with reference files or unfinished assets.
Job Assets
Each job has its own encapsulated asset library. These jobs act as a full DAM with the project itself, completely with enforced naming convention, versioning, collections and searchability.
Shared Assets
Shared assets are files that have been designated as final and are reusable.
TACTIC Project keeps a clean separation between files that are created during the workflow and final assets that can be shared.
While a job is being worked on, many files will be created. In general, most of the files will not be suitable for sharing with others as they are either components of other files, files that are in progress or files that are waiting for review. In TACTIC Project, these files are visible only to the project and are organized by process.
