Job Detail
The job detail view is a view that shows all the information about a job in a single place. Relevant information about the job is placed at the top left.
At the top right, there is a view of the workflow associated with this job, giving users a clear visual view of the steps required to complete the job.
Workflow
Every job has a workflow associated with it. This workflow determines a number of attributes of the job. In particular, it determines which processes or steps a job must take. It defines the order of these steps and the dependencies between them.
The workflow of the job is displayed in the top right of the job detail view. The workflow nodes are color coded to reflect the status of the tasks within the job, and together provide a high level status of the job.
The workflow of a job can be edited using the workflow manager.
If no workflow was assigned on job creation, you can assign a workflow by editing the job.
Task List
This tab lists tasks that are associated with this job. Use this tab to manage scheduling and assignment. You can change the layout using the layout switcher.
- Task Schedule - Manage the job schedule, open the task detail view and assign users.
The gantt chart allows you to make adjustments to this schedule. When hovering over the date range, handles will appear and you can drag the handles to set the start or the end dates, depending on which handle you grab.
- Task Notes - Read and create notes associated with a particular task.
- Task Calendar - View tasks in calendar format.
- Task Work Hours - Input work hours for tasks.
Job Assets
These are a list of files that belong to the Job. These files are not visible to other Jobs and are considered local to the job. If you were to offline the job, these files would be offlined with the job as they are physically located under the job folder.
For more information about assets, go to the assets document.
Shared Assets
Any file can be pushed to the shared asset library. While these files still have a connection to the job they came from, they are distinctly separate from the job. This means that they can be search upon and downloaded even after the job has been deleted or offlined.
For more information about assets, go to the shared assets document.
Subjobs
A job can have any number of subjobs associated with it and are organized according to the job type. These jobs are complete jobs unto themselves as they can have their own workflow, assets and task schedule. They allow you to breakup a large job into smaller components that are separately tracked.
Subjobs have the following layouts:
- Task Status - assign and set statuses for sub job tasks
- Schedule - set start and due date for subjobs
- List - set description and notes for subjobs
Notes
This tab contains all of the notes within a job. They are organized by task process. Notes from review sessions will appear with a red underline.
