Detail Task List
The detail task list is the place where project managers can look at an overview of all of the tasks in the job. These tasks can be scheduled, assigned and have their status set all from this layout.
Auto scheduling
On creation of a new job, a boiler plate schedule is created according to the workflow definition. All appropriate processes will have tasks created for them and the length of the task will correspond to the value set for each process.
New Tasks
New tasks can easily be created. Simply create the "Add Tasks" button and a form will pop up. If you wish to create tasks inline in a more spreadsheet like manner, simply shift click the "Add Tasks" button and a new row will appear on the table. Fill in the appropriate data and press save to create a new task.
Gantt Chart
The gantt chart allows for interactive easy scheduling. You can adjust the dates for each task simply by dragging the date range to the appropriate date.
When you hover over a date range, two handles will also appear which show the exact start and end date of the task. You can drag these handles to affect only the start or end date without affecting the other. This will increase or decrease the scheduled length of the task.
Also upon hovering more detailed information about the tasks will appear.
Assignment
Each task can be assigned to a user. When a user is assigned a task, it is their responsibility to work on their assigned tasks. This task will appear on their "My Tasks" view when the status of a task is set to something other than Pending or Waiting.
Editing Multiple Items
The checkbox column on the right allows for editing of multiple tasks as one. Select the tasks you wish to change and then change any of the values in the table, including dragging on the gantt chart. All of the selected will be affected.
To select all of the tasks, select the checkbox on the top left of the tab. To deselect all of the tasks, click on the checkbox again.
